Flight Delayed

So apparently the maintenance on the plane was a little more than maintenance, Air Canada is trying to get a different plane and they've delayed the flight 30 minutes. A quick note about the airport in Toronto, it's terrific! The internet is so/so but at least it's free. This place is clean and the people are nice, what few are here on new years eve. Also, I forgot to mention, the flight from Kansas City to Toronto was very scenic! Normally, when flying, I have no idea what I'm looking at outside the window. This time we saw Chicago at 35,000 feet. It was spectacular! I could see the entire width of lake Michigan. I wondered what the city above Chicago was, apparently it was Milwaulke. We passed over Southbend/Elkhart under cloud cover, but it was apparent that two cities were there. Pretty sure I saw Kalamazoo and Battle Creek before we went over Detroit, which got me all turned around because of the water and I didn't know what I was seeing next. I knew that we were over Canada. One thing that was interesing over Detroit, I saw what looked like a tv-screen, or something... it was close to water in a statium. I couldn't look closer because I didn't want to wake Amy up, she was snoozing on my shoulder. We saw new-years fireworks over either London or Hamilton in Canada and firewooks look just as cool from an airplane, except smaller.

Looks like we are getting delayed another hour and a half (departing at 1:00 a.m. local time). Instead of bringing in the new-year over the Atlantic, we will be doing it here in Toronto, Yay! Ugh, atleast it only feels like midnight for us.
